I experienced the perfect bath late one Appalachian summer evening. We turned an old metal horse trough into a deep soak tub and set it at the top of the garden. As the sky turns towards twilight, the lightening bugs rise to meet the cresent moon rising above the trees along the creek. The aroma of the mint patch and sweet smell of the garden strawberries mingled together on the warm evening air as i sat in the lukewarm water and sipped my iced mint tea. Listening to the whippoorwill sing its lonesome song, the stars came out overhead and filled the moment with a little more mountain magic.
You may not have the chance to bathe amongst the garden on a summer evening, but this luxurious bath soak can help not only aid sore muscles, but perhaps transport you to a special place deep in the heart of Appalachia.
